The 18 holes is divided into the 3,138-metre Golden Nine and the 3,090 metre Negara Nine. The opening hole plays 386 metres from the black tees, requiring a downhill drive to a flat plateau and an approach to a small green. But the rest of the round is likely to be as eventful as the constant terrain changes.

The club's Bermuda Tifdwarf greens rank among the finest in the country and about 5,000 species of trees were planted at various parts of the golf course giving golfers a chance to play some golf off different lies and enjoy the verdant greenery.

The golfing experience at Impian is likely to be a lively one as the round treads into a flat plateau past tree-lined fairways through a series of inclines and drops to greens that are tricky and fast.
